The Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost

The 8th annual Community Book Drive takes place Until September 12, culminating in the sorting of books at Fed Ex on Thursday, September 19, the United Way's Day of Caring. Saint John's will be collecting books for children ages toddler – 12 years. Collection boxes are in Trimble Hall on or near the Stage. Books that are donated may be gently used or new. The Hagerstown Area Religious Council, United Way of Washington County, Hagerstown Rotary Club, and FedEx Ground are coordinating this effort.  Thank you for your continued support.

Adult Forum: How did an unwashed dozen start a movement that came to dominate the civilized world? Find out next Sunday immediately after the 8 O’clock service in Saint Mary’s Chapel when the Adult Forum kicks off a new series – “The history of Christianity: from the Disciples to the Dawn of the reformation”  Sit in on this exciting study of the “good, the bad and the ugly” of how that small Jewish sect spread throughout the known world.  This is the fascinating story of a small dedicated band of committed people conquering the world of its day to become the most powerful movement in history. This is what you never learned in Sunday School - be there!
