Twenty-third Sunday after Pentecost ~ Proper 27

Weekday Liturgies The congregation is invited to attend Evening Prayer on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Church; and the midweek Eucharist held on Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Chapel.

No Children's Chapel on Sunday, November 19th: In order to let all of our children and parents be present on Youth-led Sundays, we will not hold Children's Chapel or Little Episcopals next Sunday.  The nursery will still be open and staffed for children under 2 years old.

Stewardship is all we do at Saint John’s after we say “I believe”: To support our spiritual life together, our outreach and what we will do in 2018, cards for financial and talent offerings to God are throughout the church – table at Antietam Street entrance and in the pews.  We will celebrate our stewardship commitments today. Thank you for prayerfully and thoughtfully responding boldly in Christ.

Saint John’s Shelter: The generosity shown to the Saint John's Shelter residents is overwhelming and the Shelter board sincerely thanks you. Your heartfelt gifts allow us to provide each family with a $100 Weis gift card for Thanksgiving. We would like to keep that momentum going and move right into requests for the Christmas season. Our hopes are to provide each family member with a gift card to Walmart so they might purchase Christmas gifts for each other. We will gratefully accept donations toward this effort through Sunday December 17. Please see Julie Barlup before/after 10:15 service or Becca Burford before/after 8:00 service. You may also place your donation in the offering plate, please clearly mark it as Saint John's Shelter - Christmas. Tiny Tim said it well, "God Bless us everyone" and thank you for bringing some cheer to our homeless families throughout the holidays and we ask you continue to keep them in your prayers as they move forward.
