The Sunday after All Saints’ Day

Christian Education: Saint John’s offers Christian Education for youth on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Classes for children ages 4 through high school meet in the classrooms above Trimble Hall.  New participants are always welcome.

Adult Forum: Forms of Witness – Martyrdom and Apologetic ~ The oppression of believers included social ostracism, the expropriation of property, economic marginalization, exile and death.  We will be looking at the forms of witness that evolved in response to persecution: the tradition of martyrdom and the writing of apologetic literature. Join us in Saint Mary’s Chapel following the 8:00 a.m. service as we follow the story beyond the Sunday school teachings of your childhood.

Choral Evensong Today at 5:00 p.m. with The Rev. Todd Young, Officiant. Choral music by Peter Klatzow and Alexandre Guilmant; organ music by Craig Phillips and Pieter van Dalem. Reception in Trimble Hall will follow Evensong, coordinated by Bruce Massey and Jerry Bock.
