The Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany

Weekday Liturgies The congregation is invited to attend Evening Prayer on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Church; the midweek Eucharist is held on Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Chapel.

Adult Forum: “Pauline Ethics”  Paul had become convinced that it was Christ’s death, not the Jewish Law that put a person into a right relationship with God.  He therefore argued that keeping the Law had no bearing on one’s salvation.  The pone law from Scripture that Paul particularly stressed was Leviticus 19:18: “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Join us following the 8:00 a.m. service in Saint Mary’s Chapel.

Christian Education for All Ages: Saint John’s offers Christian Education for children and adults on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Classes for children ages 4 through high school meet in the classrooms above Trimble Hall.  New participants are always welcome.  Adults gather in Saint Mary's chapel at 9 a.m., for a thought-provoking discussion of topics relevant to understanding our faith.

TEC 101: For those new to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, or Saint John’s, Father Todd will offer an introductory course that examines all of the above. Today through Palm Sunday, April 14th. All sessions will meet at the Parish House in the second floor conference room.

JDOK’s: Now is the time to ask, "What shall we do with JDOKS for the new year?" I would like us to meet and discuss this. If you are interested in being a part of this, please meet with us today in Saint Mary's right after the 10:15 service. Bring a parent or grandparent with you as we discuss and plan. Any girls between the ages of 7 and 18 who are not members but are interested in learning more about this organization are invited to come!
