The Fourth Sunday in Lent: March 31, 2019

Adult Forum: “The Book of Revelation” The Book of Revelation was not written to describe our own future, it wasn’t written in the context of 21st century America, but in the context of 1st century Rome. One of the problems, though, is that every generation has assumed that the book predicts what will happen in its own time. To understand this book, we need to understand its literary genre. Join us following the 8:00 a.m. service in Saint Mary’s Chapel.

Christian Education for All Ages: Saint John’s offers Christian Education for children and adults on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Classes for children ages 4 through high school meet in the classrooms above Trimble Hall.  New participants are always welcome.  Adults gather in Saint Mary's chapel at 9 a.m., for a thought-provoking discussion of topics relevant to understanding our faith.

TEC 101: For those new to Christianity, the Episcopal Church, or Saint John’s, Father Todd is offering an introductory course that examines all of the above. All sessions will meet at the Parish House in the second floor conference room through April 14th.

Saint John’s Shelter:  We need several flat screen TVs, no larger than 32”. If you have a TV you would like to donate please contact Mike Mummert at 301-991-6533, or Bill Soulis at 301-733-7432.  Thank you for your support!  The Board Members of Saint John’s Shelter

Hospital Visitations: When you are in the hospital it is your responsibility to contact the church office.  The hospital cannot call the church.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Bester School and Donations – We still need to replenish their underwear supply for young children – both boys and girls, sizes 4, 6, and 8.  Please contact Lou Lamb to provide underwear for Bester’s young and needy students.

Van Drivers and/or Supervisor: We are in need of van drivers and/or a Supervisor. This ministry provides transportation to who cannot get to Saint John’s without assistance. If you are interested or have any questions please contact Charles Chaney at 540-247-2482.
