Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday

Adult Forum will resume on April 8 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Chapel with the Covenant and Law, Part II, Exodus 20-35, Leviticus.

Soup and Sandwich lunch: Today in Trimble Hall, the J2A class will be selling soup and sandwiches to help raise funds for their upcoming Urban Excursion. Cost is $5/person or $15/family. Plan to stay for food and fellowship.

Nursery/Pre-School Chapel will be available on Easter Morning, Sunday April 1st.  We ask parents to please drop their children off at the Nursery or the Pre-School chapel room, located across the hallway from our Nursery space.  Children will be brought in to rejoin their parents during the Offertory. 

Easter Breakfast: You are invited to come for breakfast after the 6 am Easter Service or come early before the 10:15 AM Easter service.  We will be serving breakfast from 7:30 until 9:30 A.M. this Easter morning and hope you can come to enjoy the extra time with your family and friends to celebrate the risen Christ among us!  If you would like to help in anyway, please contact Betty Markle.  Thank you!

Easter Egg Hunt: St John’s Parish will host our annual children’s Easter Egg hunt following the 10:15 Easter Morning service on Sunday, April 1st.  We invite families with children in grades six and below to come and find eggs hidden in our parish playground.  We will have special baskets prepared for the children who find the gold and silver eggs!  Teens are invited to volunteer at 9:45 to hide eggs for the children to find. 

Have you reserved your photo appointment time yet? Time slots are filling up FAST! April 3, 4, 5, & 6 from 2pm to 8:30pm and Saturday April 7th from 9am to 3pm representatives From Life Touch will be in Trimble Hall to take your family portraits. We'll use the shot of your choice in our Parish Pictorial Directory and you'll get a free 8x10 and a free directory just for participating. You may bring props if you wish and you'll have the opportunity to purchase additional prints, too. Sign up online by using this link:   OR    Sue Sowers & Cathy Bushey will be in the Antietam Street entrance in between services and following the 10:15 service for the next few weeks taking sign ups.

Each “backpack” receives the following:

2- Cans of Vegetables – Corn/Green beans

2- Cans of Soup – Tomato/Chicken Noodle

      *Other types of Soups are okay

2 - Boxes of Juice – Must be 100% Juice

1 - Can of Tuna

1 - Can of Chef Boyardee

       *Spaghetti and Meatballs or Ravioli

1 - 24 oz. Can of Apple Sauce

1 - Packet of Instant Oatmeal

2 - Types of Cracker Packets

       *Peanut Butter and Crackers work well

1 - Individually Wrapped PopTart

      *Make sure a box of PopTarts is individually wrapped
