Second Sunday after the Epiphany

Adult Forum: Theological Crisis and Council – Christology ~The doctrine of the Trinity has been hammered out – did that end debate in the church?  A resounding “NO!”  In the 5th and 6th centuries controversies sprung up focusing on “Christology” - the nature of Jesus Christ, the God-man.  The political and personal rivalries between the great patriarchal centers, the divergent philosophical approached to questions of theology and the desire of emperors to maintain unity only worsened the divide.  Join us in Saint Mary’s Chapel following the 8:00 a.m. service as we follow the story beyond the Sunday school teachings of your childhood.
