Ninth Sunday after Pentecost

Food For The Poor: We welcome the Reverend Bruce Torrey to worship with us today.  He speaks for those who have no voice – the destitute of the developing world served by Food For The Poor, an interdenominational ministry providing food, clothing, medical care, housing and economic development programs in the Caribbean and Latin America.  Father Torrey travels throughout the US introducing people in the United States to the people of developing countries.   Bruce brings 31 years of experience in parish ministry in the dioceses of Long Island NY, Rochester NY and Connecticut, including a number of mission trips to Central America and the Caribbean, to his vocation of begging for the poor.

Bruce and his wife Kathi are blessed with 5 children; Emma (currently attending college) and our adult children, Mark, Rebecca, Kate and David, who all live in the northeast, as well as one granddaughter, Nora.   Bruce and Kathi live in the beautiful Hudson River Valley of New York State. Bruce enjoys playing folk music, camping, hiking (partically in the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains) and spending time with his family. The Torreys have two Border Collies, Jo and Samwise. Please join us in welcoming Father Torrey.
