First Sunday after Christmas

Christian Education for All Ages: Saint John’s offers Christian Education for children and adults on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Classes for children ages 4 through high school meet in the classrooms above Trimble Hall.  New participants are always welcome.  Adults gather in Saint Mary's chapel at 9am, for a thought-provoking discussion of topics relevant to understanding our faith.

No Children’s Chapel Today: In order to let the parents and youth choirs participate fully participate in the Christmas Lessons and Carols. There will be no Children’s Chapel or Little Episcopals. The Nursery will still be staffed and attended for children under 2 years old.

Adult Forum: “The Historical Jesus – Solutions and Methods” Scholars have developed three major criteria for establishing what Jesus really said and did based on the surviving sources.  This criterion can be used only to indicate which traditions are more likely to be historically accurate.  The criterion cannot be used to show what is inaccurate.  What is fact and what is fiction?  Join the conversation as we explore truth and myth.  Join us following the 8:00 a.m. service in Saint Mary’s Chapel.
